In Mexico the entity responsible for registering industrial property rights (the Patent and Trademark Office) is the Instituto Mexicano de Propiedad Industrial (IMPI). Its functions include the registration of trademarks, patents and industrial designs to spread the importance of Industrial Property through publications, courses and workshops and provide technological information contained in patent documents.
However, as happens in most countries, the person interested in registering your trademark, patent or industrial design an agent comes to industrial property (patents and trademarks) to advise him what and how to register your creation. It is certainly an efficient advisory avoiding unnecessary expenses. There is a list of industrial property agents in Mexico here.
